Speech and Language Therapist

Angela studied Linguistics at University in Canada before training to teach English as a foreign language in Cambridge and finally completing a Masters in Speech and Language Pathology at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia.

While studying Speech and Language Pathology Angela had clinical placements in hostipals, schools and clinics. She has worked with children with speech and language needs, autism and dysfluency as well as adults recovering from stroke and brain injuiry.

Angela plans to build her career in the UK specialising in working with children with hearing impairment. Angela is based in Cambridge and is currently volunteering with Wordswell helping us organise our annual conference.

Angela is based in Cambridge and joined Wordswell as a volunteer in October 2011.

Angela obtained her HPC registration in February 2012 and has worked as a part-time Speech and Language Therapist with Wordswell since April 2012 combined with working as a Teaching Assistant at a school in Cambridge.

All our staff also have an enhanced police check with the Criminal Records Bureau.
